At Easterfest 2011, Australia’s Celebrity Magician Christopher Wayne will stare death in the face as he performs a stunt created specifically for the festival...”The Box”.

On Saturday night, opening for the Grammy Award Winning band “Switchfoot”, Christopher Wayne will be handcuffed, shackled and secured into a crate on Easterfestʼs Mainstage. The crate will then be attached to a crane and taken 10 metres above the stage. Christopher will have 60 seconds to escape the confines of the shackles and the box and reach a safety line before the box is released from the crane and dropped to the stage below.

“We wanted to perform something that these people have never seen before, so we asked - What is the most amazing and dangerous thing we could perform - ...The answer was THE BOX.

In the history of magic in Australia, no one has ever tried a stunt like this, especially in front of such a large crowd. Ill have 60 seconds to pick the locks in the dark and make my escape, if not...Im in trouble.”

In 2010, Christopher broke history when he performed the Houdini Inverted Straight Jacket Escape, suspended by his feet, at the Easterfest Festival.

Christopher Wayne is best known as being the magician from Toasted TV on Channel 10 and has also featured on Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, Sunrise, Mornings with Kerri-Anne and Totally Wild.

Christopher is the first magician in Australian TV History to have his own TV series, “More Than Magic” which comes out mid 2011.
