Debt counselling charity, Christians Against Poverty, is 15 years old this year internationally, and its founder and international director John Kirkby (age 50 in October) will be running 15 marathons in 15 days - five in the UK, then flying to Australia to do five, then to New Zealand for another five. With 1 in 3 CAP clients having considered or attempted suicide because of debt related stress, John’s message to everyone who sees him will be "Running for their lives!"

He'll kick off the round-the-world campaign on November 8 with his first Marathon in Australia on November 15 in Melbourne.

John will run a staggering 668 km (equivalent to running from Sydney to near Glen Innes on the NSW northern tablelands) for the 15 marathons, on top of the mind-boggling 2032.kms he has already run in training for this event. Surrounded by his team of doctor, physio and nutritionist, John has his eyes firmly set on the end of the 15 marathons.

Johns last run will be on November 27 in Auckland.
