Former Avalon's Cherie Adams to Tour for Solo Debut Album "Sweet Life"
Cherie Adams, the former member of Avalon, has signed a new contract with Fruition Artist Agency to promote her solo debut album Sweet Life and has announced a tour for this summer and autumn.
Fruition Artist Agency President, Carla Archuletta commented Cherie's entrance to the portfolio of the agency saying, "I am personally very excited about signing Cherie Adams to our agency."
"Cherie has a proven ministry and is one of the most genuine, talented and multi-faceted artists in Christian music. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with Cherie and seeing what the Lord has in store for her as she continues to move forward in this new chapter of her life and ministry."
Cherie's first solo album contains 11 songs and it has proved her song writing qualities as she has written or co-written 8 of the new songs.
Songwriters that have co-worked on the album are well recognised in the music industry: Robert White Johnson (who wrote for Celine Dion) and fellow artists Scott Krippayne, Paul Brandt, and Cindy Morgan.
Cherie, as a person with a heart for those who are troubled, broken and hurting, is trying to bring the love of Christ closer to them.
"There's a story behind every song on this record," explains Cherie. And every song proves she knows what she is talking about.
"I wanted to write and sing songs that came from my heart, I wasn't thinking commercially when I wrote or selected these songs. I simply wrote about what was going on in my life at that time. Sometimes I wrote in strong faith and sometimes I wrote when my faith seemed to be reduced to nothing but a smouldering ember."
The desire to serve God and make him known through music is the commission that she was called to: "It is my heart's desire to bring Jesus to those who don't know Him."
"I don't want to just introduce you to Him; I want you to know Him, to really know that God of this entire universe cares about every single detail regarding you. He is faithful to reveal Himself to those who really seek Him. This is my mission; this is what I've been called to do."
As a member of Avalon from 1998 to 2002, her collection of accolades include an American Music Award, two Dove awards, two gold records and two Grammy nominations.
