Host of 106five Rhema FM’s Big Breakfast, Steve D, is fund-raising by making an attempt to broadcast for 72 hours from October 29 to 31.
From midnight on Thursday October 29, Steve will host RADIO-A-THON 2009, as a vital fund-raiser for the Sunshine Coast’s leading Christian Community Radio station.
Steve will be brewing lots of coffee but will also need support from listeners. He hopes to raise $24, 700 to keep 106five Rhema FM continuing on air, 24 hours, 7 days.
You can help by sponsoring Steve, or by making a donation. Call 106five Rhema FM during office hours on 54 422 833 or check the website at www.rhemasuncoast.com.
Steve is looking for Corporate, Business and Personal sponsors, so to be involved, get in touch.
106five Rhema FM, like all community radio stations, relies on the giving of listeners to keep broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. To meet its bottom line, especially in trying economic times, the station needs these funds.
Steve D is the Program Director at 106five Rhema FM and has been hosting breakfast since January 2008. His involvement goes back to 2001, when he was a full-time teacher and started in radio as a volunteer at Rhema.
