Two Christian ministries are joining together to collect Bibles so that it can be distributed to people overseas.

WBGL, a Christian radio station in the U.S. State of Illinois, and Christian Resources International (CRI), provides English Christian resources to 180 countries, had teamed up together after CRI received requests for Bibles from pastors.

CRI research indicated that in a typical developing church, pastors had access to one copy of the Bible and it was often shared with other pastors. Furthermore, the theological resource of the church was limited to one or two theological books.

Thus far, WBGL had collected over 27,000 Bibles, reported the Mission Network News (MNN). The campaign is expected to wrap up soon. However, the collection of Bible is not limited to the Chicago area, said CRI executive director, Fred Palmerton, who had encouraged everyone to get involved via their website.

Once the donor typed in their information they would be asked whether they would receive update on a specific pastor or Christian worker overseas.
