Natalie Grant Completes Seventh Studio Recording
|PIC1|Gospel Music Association's reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, Natalie Grant, has completed work on her seventh album and first studio recording in two years.
Following her 2005 release, Awaken, which poised Grant to become Christian music's top-selling Adult Contemporary female solo artist in both 2005 and 2006, the forthcoming project was produced by Grant's husband, Bernie Herms, and longtime collaborator Shaun Shankel.
The album is slated for release later this year.
Following the birth of her twin daughters last week, Grant will return to the spotlight on 25 April as co-host of the 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The show will also feature co-hosts Brian Littrell and Donnie McClurkin.
In addition to co-hosting, Grant has again been nominated for the prestigious Female Vocalist of the Year award.
GMA's Dove Awards is Christian and gospel music's biggest night of the year, when top artists from every style of gospel music come together for a national night of music and celebration.
"Natalie, Brian and Donnie make a striking trio of hosts who will be engaging, smart and entertaining and we are excited each accepted our invitation to host the show," said John W Styll, president of the GMA. "There's a building enthusiasm for the GMA Dove Awards just as the national spotlight on Christian and gospel music's positive impact on our country and culture continues to radiate."
