Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s Board of Directors have unanimously endorsed its Presidents’ (Dr. Sam Mings, Sr.) recommendation to invite Dr. David Preston to serve as a director of staff chaplaincy during Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s ‘Bridging the Gap 2012 London ~ England Olympic Outreach’.

The XXX Olympiad will be LWFCI’s 8th Summer Olympic Outreach and is projected to be the largest ever with 2012 individuals composing the team.

“Dr. David Preston is highly recommended personally by Dr. Sam Mings, Sr. who is aware of the outstanding ministry David has done through ‘David Preston Ministries’ for the past 25 years! David Preston will fulfil a pivotal role once again in overseeing & caring for the spiritual needs of the largest Team ever coming to minister at the Olympics! (There will be only ‘7’ directors of staff chaplaincy responsible for the Team Members situated throughout London & the 32 boroughs.”)

Dr. Mings has yet to select the Chairman for Staff Chaplaincy - but is leaning toward selecting from one of the final seven selected as Directors as they must be of the highest calibre, mature in the Word, and loyal & accountable to the Command Center Directors.

David Preston has much experience at Olympic ministry having provided leadership at the Summer Olympics: First, in Los Angeles (1984); then Seoul, South Korea (1988); the Barcelona, Spain (1992); then Atlanta, USA (1996); and most recently in Sydney, Australia (2000).

It is imperative these Men of God must have a passion for seeing men & women, boys & girls receive Christ as Saviour and have the ability, the wherewithal to work with Team Members from every denominational background as well as from every nation! The Directors of Staff Chaplaincy will oversee a large Staff dedicated to overseeing the Team Members 24 hours a day.

Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s desire as we prepare for the largest outreach ever is - ‘that every base be covered & when all is completed no one individual, nor ministry, nor groups of ministries can explain how everything went so awesome ‘ – other than an explanation by the Word of God:…”Not by power nor by might but by my spirit said the Lord of Hosts…”

David Preston is joining with other God sent ministers versed in God’s Word from around the world. Each of them and their team will be in uniform and will be focused on impacting Christendom by their actions in ministering to the spiritual needs of the 2012 Team!

Dr. Mings states: “ We will ‘only invite those onto the Team who understood spiritual warfare and the necessity of serving as ‘Jesus served’ – one unto another in leadership roles - and who present themselves accountable to - in this instance the Command Center Directors!”
