Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s Board of Directors have unanimously endorsed its Presidents’ (Dr. Sam Mings, Sr.) recommendation to invite DR. DAVID SMETHURST to serve in the pivotal position as ‘1 of the 3’ INTERNATIONAL STAFF DIRECTORS for Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s forthcoming eighth Summer Olympic Outreach to be known as ‘BRIDGING THE GAP 2012 LONDON~ENGLAND OLYMPICS’.

Dr. David Smethurst, as one of the ‘3’ International Staff Directors will motivate and give direction to hundreds of Team Members and will be responsible to see that the ministry’s requests are completed per schedule of the Command Center Chairman & Directors.

Dr. Smethurst is greatly respected and well known throughout the world and is much admired by Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s founders, Dr. Sam & Sharon Mings, having most recently served admirably as their Chief of Staff for ‘REACH-OUT 2008 BEIJING ~CHINA’. Dr. Smethurst and his wife Margarite have grown children and a precious grandchild.

Dr. Smethurst task will not be an easy one as his job description entails ministering to the needs of hundreds of Team Members yet keeping them focused while on mission for God during ‘Bridging the Gap 2012 London~England Olympics’.

Dr. Smethurst speaks several languages fluently and Dr. & Mrs. Mings found him to be a proven and trusted leader. We are excited to extend this position to this Man of God whom the Lord Himself has prepared for such a time as this – the largest endeavor to proclaim Jesus Christ as the ‘True Star of the XXX Olympiad.’
