Family First’s Federal Chairman and State Chairman have denied reports of the party entering a preference arrangement with the Australian Sex Party, and labelling the claim from the Sex Party to be “an attempt to discredit Family First and to undercut the supporters of Family First".
Bob Day the Federal Chairman have expressed his sentiments about the report:
“You may have seen or heard reports this morning (Wednesday 28th July) that Family First sought to enter into a preference arrangement with the Australian Sex Party. I want to reassure you that this is completely false. I am the Federal Chairman and no preference arrangement can occur without my approval,” he stated.
“Family First has not and would not ever contemplate a preference arrangement with a Party like the Australian Sex Party.”
“This is a blatant attempt by the Australian Sex Party to discredit Family First. You might recall some months ago this Party took out large advertisements in The Advertiser expressing one of their key aims was to ‘stop Family First’.”
The Queensland Senate Candidate for Family First, Wendy Francis further added: “We stand for the opposite of what the Australian Sex Party stand for...they stand for abortion, euthanasia and gay ‘marriage’.”
“Please do not be misled by sensationalist media reports and please advise your friends that this is simply media sensationalism.”
