Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s Board of Directors have unanimously endorsed its Presidents’ (Dr. Sam Mings, Sr.) recommendation to invite Evangelist Frank Shelton to provide leadership as international evangelism director for Lay Witnesses for Christ International’s eighth (8th) Summer Olympic Outreach.

Frank Shelton, Jr has a passion for God and compassion for people. He is a native of our Nation's Capital and his father was a fourth generation DC police officer in his family retiring as Deputy Chief of the United States Capitol Police.

Frank's ancestor, Joseph William Shelton was on duty at Ford's Theater the very evening President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and carried him across the street the evening he died.

Frank daydreamed about either entering politics, protect the President or preach the Gospel. He was blessed to pursue all three vocations by his 35th birthday and he worked nearly 17 years on Capitol Hill in various capacities and left the pay, prestige and power of Congress to do the work of an evangelist in July 2007.

He is founder of Celebrate Jesus! Crusades, his radio show "Frankly Speaking" airs on American Family Radio, his book "Career vs Calling?" is on Amazon.com and he is a nationally endorsed speaker with Compassion International & Upward and travels the globe pointing people to the Prince of Peace.

He serves on Advisory Board of Praisefest Ministries - Cruise with a Cause and they witnessed 18,000 come to Christ in three cruises to the Bahamas.

Frank has been invited in May 2011, to go with them to Jamaica to help share the Gospel with 133,000 students with Dr Johnny Hunt, Casting Crowns, Josh McDowell & others. Frank shares HUMOUR, celebrity impressions and captivating Biblical Truth that exalts the Savior, encourages the saints and evangelises the sinner.

Frank's heartbeat is to reach the lost for the Lord and he is humbled to be linked with LWCF. It is one thing to bring home the gold - its eternally different when we bring people to God.
