Homeless Persons Week kicks off this Sunday August 5, bringing together a number of church, welfare, government, motorcycle and other community groups in support of raising awareness, understanding and practical assistance for Homeless People.

Hope 103.2 were once again pleased to assist by running a ‘Blanket Drive’ at its Seven Hills Studios.

The call went out on-air just over 2 weeks ago. Since that time, listeners and supporters from all over Sydney have brought in blankets, filling its reception area almost beyond capacity!

The largest donation of 51 blankets came from the Team at Good Guys Prospect who rallied together to raise the funds to buy beautiful new blankets to include in the drive.

It took three of Hope 103.2’s vehicles to transport all of the blankets today to Anglicare’s Street Outreach Team in Parramatta who will distribute the blankets to the homeless from Parramatta’s Church Street Amphitheatre this Sunday.
