Lee Crowned as Dream Joseph
|PIC1|Lee Mead will star as Joseph for the upcoming musical in the West End, after being voted the public's favourite on BBC1's Joseph: Any Dream Will Do.
Starting next month, Mead will play Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Adelphi Theatre in London.
Finalists Mead, Lewis Bradley and Keith Jack performed on stage on Saturday, battling to win the votes of the public. Bradley was knocked out in the first round, leaving Mead and Jack to compete head to head.
In the end, the curly haired 25-year-old took the honour to take the leading role in the upcoming musical.
Mead has previously performed professionally in musicals including The Phantom Of The Opera, Tommy and Miss Saigon, as well as dancing in a Geri Halliwell video.
He believes that he would be a "strong, sensitive, cheeky and deep Joseph".
As the winner, Mead will also release single "Any Dream Will Do", with all proceeds going to BBC's Children in Need campaign.
Andrew Lloyd Webber and acclaimed composer Howard Goodall recently named Brampton Primary School in East Ham as the winner of the nationwide Joseph Choir Search for the musical.
