Diff and electrical issues early in the weekend saw the Jesus Ute unable to complete the practice sessions. Despite enormous pressure, the mechanical team pulled together and changed the bulk of the wiring in the front of the car to ensure it was ready to race.
An incident in qualifying saw Fishtail left with just two laps to put down a time, but he managed to secure himself third spot on the grid.
A great Race 1 saw Fishtail finish third with a couple of great moves. The down-side meant he started from 15th in the Reverse Grid, but was able to fight hard and finish an excellent fifth position.
Race three and four were without incident for Fishtail although a huge roll over in Race 3 saw the end of Kim Jane’s race. The Jesus Ute came home third each time, securing Fishtail's spot on the podium.
"It was a great result for the weekend,"says Fishtail. "The team is really happy, mainly because all the hard work paid off.
"We knew we were in the top 3 in terms of speed,we just needed to race well. We needed to hold on through some tough tussles, which we managed to do, and we finished a highly rewarding third for the weekend.
"What a great result for the team and it sees us move back into 3rd place in the championship."
