Andrew ‘Fishtail’ Fisher is in the Top End this week, in readiness for this weekend’s Round Three of the Auto One V8 Ute Series at Hidden Valley.

This round is essential to the Jesus Racing Team.

After a rocky start to the season, Fishtail is sitting ninth on the competition ladder, so is keen to make up places this weekend.

Before racing starts on Friday, there’s plenty to keep him busy off the track.

Engine Rebuild and Airstrip Test

After a multi-state engine rebuild, the motor has been returned to the Jesus Ute.

In coming days, all systems will be tested as the Jesus Ute is put through its paces at an airstrip just South of Darwin, giving race engineers, and Fishtail, the opportunity to see how it performs over a long, straight track, and to ensure everything is in order for a weekend of hard racing.

School Visit

Andrew ‘Fishtail’ Fisher will also visit the students of Marrara College, just out of Darwin where he’ll speak to more than 200 young people. This is part of the Jesus Racing Schools Program, which sees Fishtail talk to 50,000 high school students across Australia every year about the importance of making courageous decisions and thinking through the consequences of your actions.

Store Visits

As part of his association with Gloria Jean’s Coffees, Fishtail will also visit several Darwin Gloria Jean’s Coffees stores, meeting fans and franchisees of the national coffee company.

New cup design for Gloria Jean’s Coffees

Australian owned and operated coffee house giant Gloria Jean’s Coffees will officially launch their new-look cups on board the Jesus Ute this weekend.

Andrew Fishtail Fisher caries a Gloria Jean’s Coffees cup on board inside his race car which is highly visible by the in-car camera and is seen by over 10 million TV viewers world wide each year.

“The reaction to the coffee cup inside the car has been remarkable it provides plenty of laughs and attention from the commentators” saya Fisher. “We are thrilled to be asked by Gloria Jean’s Coffees to run the new cup inside the car as part of its launch. The new cup is will be effective in creating an even higher level of brand awareness.”

Amazing Race

Thanks to the Jesus Racing Team’s association with Gloria Jean’s Coffees, the Jesus Ute will this weekend carry livery for ‘The Amazing Race’.

And while Ute Racing is certainly amazing, the livery is to promote the Channel Seven program, which is also about an Amazing Race!

But come Friday, it’s back on the track, where Fishtail will be giving it everything he’s got as he races to make it closer to the top of the Auto One V8 Ute Championship Ladder.
