Tom Treseder, founder of MegaVoice International, has received word that: “All the units you arranged went into Morocco and some to Algeria. They were well received. Initially the feedback was that those listening to the French and Arabic loved it.”
The report continued: “You may know that severe pressure has come upon the church in Algeria and more recently in Morocco. All of the active Christian workers in Morocco have been arrested and expelled over the past 10 days without any warning - around 100 by now as I write this.
“This included British and American university professors, teachers and most profoundly, the entire staff of two orphanages where the carers and foster parents had been in the country for many years- as many as 28 year in some cases - and working with government agencies who gave no hint of the trouble coming.
“Arrests and interrogation of National believers has now begun.
“This has been a huge shock to the carers and the children, who had to watch their 'parents' being taken away in police vans - without time to pack or take belongings - and delivered to the frontiers.
“They have been told not to expect to return for 5 years minimum and more likely 10 years.
“Several foreigners were forced to leave their wives and children in Morocco. All this at a time when most of us thought the King of Morocco as a moderate and loving leader, dedicated to freedoms for his people and so different to his father. It really is an incredible situation and we are being asked to make protests and representation at the highest level. Please join this protest by letting everyone know of the situation.”
Over 50 police were involved in the arrest of one family with young children! All are being treated like criminals and are having all their property and belongings removed from them.
