Rev Steve Roggero, Senior Pastor at Heathmont Baptist Church, fully endorses Noddy’s move in to full-time missionary leadership - “He brings relational strength, organizational wisdom and a genuine love for people into his service for Christ. Noddy steps into this exciting new venture to lead in a vital sphere of influence at an Australian and Global level with the wholehearted support of his Church community at HBC.”
OM East Asia Pacific Regional Director, Jonathan Rodwell, summed up the organisations sentiments on Noddy’s appointment - “As I think of Noddy taking over it feels like a baton of leadership is being passed on to the next generation. I see in Noddy someone who loves the Lord Jesus Christ and brings the necessary skills and passion to lead OM Australia. He is a leader, a gatherer of people, strategic, resourceful and a visionary.”
Noddy spent much of his youth in the highlands of Papua New Guinea where his parents worked with a missionary organisation. He met his wife, Alison, whose parents were also serving in that region at that time. “We feel the inheritance of mission has been handed down from our parents and is now being fulfilled,” say Noddy and Alison.
Noddy was humbled and inspired by his appointment - “I sense that God is moving in spectacular ways around the world. His kingdom is growing and the call we have as followers of Jesus is an urgent one.
“We are both excited to see the plans God has for our nation and world and we anticipate the Kingdom of God growing through the faithful work of His followers!”
