Community services provider, CatholicCare, is encouraging local residents to visit their stand at the upcoming Ashfield Carnival of Cultures this Sunday 20 March at Ashfield Park.
Often families and individuals find themselves in extenuating circumstances and don’t know where to turn. CatholicCare has helped more than 300,000 people in the past year alone by providing essential community services many of which are offered at no cost.
Operating within the local Inner West and the greater Sydney area for 70 years, CatholicCare will use the carnival event to educate locals of their essential support services.
‘We run more than 20 programs in the local area that benefit families, young people, children and people with disabilities and from all backgrounds,’ said Mr Bernard Boerma, Chief Executive Officer, CatholicCare.
‘We will have several staff at the Carnival to talk to the community about how to access these services,’ Mr Boerma continued.
Community members are encouraged to attend the free event and find out more about CatholicCare programs:
