Rev Fred Nile strongly rejects porn film allegations

The Rev Hon Fred Nile MLC, Leader of the Christian Democratic Party, has completely denied the media reports that he has been viewing pornographic films on a Parliamentary computer.

"I do not have a computer in my Parliament House office. The three Parliamentary computers that are assigned to me are allocated to my staff in our CDP Staff Office in Parliament House. I have two permanent staff and one part time staff who uses my login name of 'cfnile'."

"I attach a copy of the Parliament House printout detailing "cfnile" login use, which I requested from the Parliament House Council Clerk, which shows no porn sites."

"My Parliament House Researcher has at my request accessed computer details concerning pro pornography organizations, eg Eros foundation in the lead up to the Federal Election. In addition to this, adult / pornographic material has been briefly accessed directly and indirectly as we looked at dozens of issues, including:

- The problem of adult material within computer games, print and film media,
- The effectiveness of internet filters,
- The circumvention of Federal and State law by Australian commercial entities that use - international shelf companies and hosting IPs to sell prohibited pornographic material,
- The sexual, physical and psychological health issues facing the homosexual community in relation to "same sex" homosexual adoption, regulation of "same sex homosexual marriage etc".

Obviously, some unknown persons have tried to use this information to personally discredit the Christian Democratic Party and myself."

"An interested person has sent an unsolicited chart concerning the impossibility of accessing an alleged 200,000 porn sites from February to June 2010. There is clearly a problem with the data reported by media."

The issue is being investigated by the NSW Parliament.
