Newcastle’s only Christian broadcaster Rhema 99.7fm just concluded its most ambitious faith-based and god-directed fund raising campaign ever held.

General manager, john marks said: “Christian radio in our region is alive and well. This Rhemathon, like others before it, again confirms the wide listener-based support that exists for wholesome radio.”

“Funds from Rhemathon 2006 will help to meet our financial needs for the next twelve months and continue reaching people with the message of Jesus Christ.” john marks said.

Station manager, Dr Gary Forbes said: “this year, we saw an incredible widening of support from local Christian businesses and churches. Our faith and unity has been strengthened as we saw god fulfil all that he had promised and more. ”

The theme for Rhemathon 2006 was “ready for a miracle” - and we saw many over the weekend.

Rhema fm 99.7 transmits from mount sugarloaf on 10,000 watts and has been broadcasting for almost 20 years. A full-time licence was granted in November, 1999.
