Wesley Mission’s Vision Valley at Arcadia in Sydney’s north-west has won two major awards for its tourism and venue services.

Vision Valley recently won its category in the 2010 Greater Sydney Tourism Awards and an award from the Christian Venues Association.

Its Greater Sydney Tourism Gold Award in the Meetings and Business Tourism category means it is now an automatic finalist in the NSW Tourism Awards in November..

“The award is recognition of the ongoing and committed work of Vision Valley staff,” said Wesley Mission CEO, the Rev Dr Keith Garner.

“Program Manager David Buckley did a wonderful job in submitting a highly detailed entry for and on behalf of Vision Valley. He has worked hard at lifting the profile of Vision Valley.

“It is a wonderful achievement in which all Vision Valley staff can feel warmly proud.”

Accepting the award at the glittering presentation ceremony were Vision Valley Activities Manager Kylie Dwyer and Administration Co-ordinator Jessica Triebe.

And in another tourism-related achievement, Vision Valley Caretaker Steve Stockman was recently awarded a Spirit of Sharing award from the Christian Venues Association.
