Bible Society Australia

The Bible Society Australia is a not-for-profit interdenominational organisation. We are a member of the United Bible Societies, a worldwide fellowship of 145 organisations working in more than145 countries.

After operating in Australia for over 200 years as federated state-based units, the Bible Society has now merged all activities and management into a new single legal entity, known as Bible Society Australia.

Bible Society is driven by the desire to see people engage with God’s Word. The mission is to provide Scriptures for as many people as possible in a language they can understand, in a format they can use and interact with, and at a price they can afford. Bible Society is involved in five key activities in order to fulfil the mission:

• Translation
• Production/Printing
• Distribution
• Interaction with the Word
• Fundraising
