CBM(Christian Blind Mission) is an International Development Organisation dedicated to improving quality of life of people with disabilities in the poorest of the globe.
For over 100 years, our teams have been working with communities to bring hope and healing for millions of people with disabilities each year. CBM work tirelessly to break the cycle that leads to disability and poverty, reaching more than 18 million people in the last year with medical care and rehabilitation, quality education and livelihood opportunities.
We also advocate for the inclusion of people with disabilities into their communities.
This makes us the largest and oldest organisation dedicated to this work and world leaders in providing creative solutions for people with, and at risk of disabilities. We also work alongside local partners to ensure people with disabilities are included in emergencies or conflicts’.
,/br> For over one hundred years we have devoted ourselves to improving the lives of people living with disabilities in the poorest places in the world.
In these developing countries disability inevitably leads to poverty, and vice versa. Our work is focused on breaking this persistent cycle.
We provide emergency relief and medical assistance to address day-to-day needs. But to have a lasting effect on the lives of people with disabilities we encourage self-reliance and participation. We also campaign tirelessly to change attitudes to disability. By ensuring the human rights of people with disabilities in poorer countries, we tackle poverty at its heart.
