A lot has happened in the 132 years of The Leprosy Mission’s life: hospitals that were once asylums have become centres of excellence not only for leprosy but for many other health conditions; a disease that was once thought to be a death sentence is now curable; and work that was once centred on India now spans three continents. TLM is a multi-national organisation working in partnership with governments, public health officials, NGOs, the World Health Organisation (WHO), churches, Christian partners and many other people to achieve its vision of a world without leprosy. And TLM doesn’t just operate in countries where leprosy exists: 25 National Councils and support groups give TLM an invaluable presence around the world.
